The New York Law Institute is lucky to have Chinatown as one of our close neighbors. We, along with the Library of Congress, and all Americans celebrate this month with Asian and Pacific Islanders.

P.L. 95-419 was enacted in 1978 designating the week of May 4th as Asian/Pacific American Heritage Week.  Since then, P.L. 101-283 which amend P.L. 95-419, requests that the President issue a proclamation designating May as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
