On June 10th of last year NYLI staff issued a statement in response to the George Floyd Tragedy. Little did we think that in a few months our country would be again faced with the tragedy of attacks on our fellow Americans. The NYLI staff decries the scapegoating of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who are being wrongly held responsible for the pandemic.
We reaffirm NYLI’s commitment to advance civil rights. NYLI continues this support with research and copying services for any law firm doing pro bono work to assist in righting these wrongs and representing its victims. Details will be worked out on a case-by-case basis.
