We’re putting together another online Law Library Virtual Scavenger Hunt leading into the holiday season. With so many law librarians still working from home and spending their time increasingly online, we thought this might be a good (and fun!) diversion. We’re calling for participation from sponsors who would be interested in participating and contributing prizes (which could consist of access to your resource(s) or a physical prize such as an Amazon gift card).

Last year was the first time we hosted such an event and we were very pleased at the outcome – we garnered 41 entries entries from all types of law libraries – law firms, academic law libraries, government agencies, from across the country. These were from particpants who completed all 7 weeks of the contest. And we had 1,130 page views of the scavenger hunt page, so the content, the sponsors, and the prizes definitely got a lot of exposure.

What would be involved? We’ll be developing clues to lead to various library vendors, blogs, associations, resources, etc. Those that would like to participate would either place a small image on their website or have us do so on ours crediting you as the sponsor for that week. These images will each have a secret code that librarians will grab for their entries.
