The New York Law Institute Announces Skadden Arps Librarian Added to Board

(New York, NY – November 20, 2017) The New York Law Institute (NYLI), a membership law library, has announced the newest member of their Board of Directors to be well-respected law librarian and former LLAGNY Chapter President, Anthony P. Amabile.  With a career spanning nearly three decades, Amabile joins NYLI for the next three-year term.

“Anthony Amabile is an excellent fit for the Law Institute,” said Lucy Curci-Gonzalez, Executive Director, NYLI.  “He possesses the experience and insight of a law firm librarian which is representative of the majority of NYLI members, and he is also extremely active in the field, having served on multiple Boards of Directors.  I am confident that he is going to be a valuable asset to NYLI as we continue to strategize our transition from a local to a national organization.”

About Anthony Amabile
Anthony Amabile is the Senior Global Manager of Research & Knowledge Services for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He manages the Firm’s 22 Research and Knowledge Centers. His group performs traditional library services and is deeply integrated in the Firm’s knowledge management practice.  He served on the Board of Directors of the Law Library Association of Greater New York for 5 years, first as Treasurer and later as President. He is a former member of the Council of Chapter Presidents, American Association of Law Libraries.
