The New York Law Institute Announces Retirement of Executive Director
(New York, NY – July 2, 2015) The New York Law Institute (NYLI), a membership law library, has announced that Ralph Monaco will retire from his post as Executive Director upon appointment of a new Executive Director. Monaco has led the NYLI team through a transformative ten years as the organization evolved from a local to a national enterprise. He was the catalyst behind the shift from print to digital resources for which the organization has become well-known.
“Ralph is an innovator and a visionary and his leadership will be sorely missed”, said Jean O’Grady, Director of Research Services at DLA Piper. “We will be hard-pressed to match his strategic insight moving forward”. “Ralph has taken this organization from a print-only, traditional library and modernized it to match contemporary client expectations”. “He has taught and inspired a generation of information professionals.”
“We will all miss Ralph” added Bruce Clark, currently the chairman of NYLI, “He has been the lynchpin in the organization of NYLI for many years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors”.
A search for a new Executive Director of The New York Law Institute will begin immediately as the NYLI Board will be partnering with Axelroth & Associates to recruit for the position.
