Labeling it “Netstalgia,” the article points out the example of the Animated Text blog and interviews its creator Cat Frazier, a 23-year-old developer (who, presumably, did not use the Internet much during that time). Sites such as Animated Text appear in Tumblr blogs and use animated GIFs, Shockwave Flash animations and MIDI song samples along with homages to Windows 95 and Microsoft Paint.
