We have come to the unanimous decision that Don Boman at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP has won the NYLI Name our Snow-Person Contest with the exceedingly clever name Kata Logue the Snowman.  Don also submitted an equally clever song to go with his entry.  To the tune of Frosty the Snowman…

Kata Logue the Snowman
Was a jolly happy soul
With a book in his hand and book on his head,
And his body made out of books

Kata Logue the Snowman
Made the lawyers laugh and play
And were they surprised when
Before their eyes
The internet went down that day

There must have been some research
In that old reporter they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around

Kata Logue the Snowman
Was alive as he could be
And the lawyers say
He could Blue-book and source
Just the same as you and me

Kata Logue the Snowman
Knew the judge was hot that day
So he said let’s search
And we’ll have fun
Now before I get discarded

So down to the courthouse
With a briefing in his hand
Running here and there all around the square
Saying file me if you can

He led them down the threads of search
Right to the index volume
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler, Cite!

Kata Logue the Snowman
Never used computers
But he waved goodbye
Saying don’t you bet
That the internet won’t go down again someday

Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Look at Kata go
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the hills of search
