Mashable recently posted an article about analytics becoming available for U.S. government websites. The White House introduced a publicly available analytics dashboard that keeps tabs on traffic stats from 3,800 government websites. The project is open source, and the code for the site and its reporting tool are available to those who want to take advantage of the data for their own projects. The analytics have been used for awhile, but this is the first time they are publicly available. According to the article, the Obama administration is looking to expand its open-source data focus for Digital Services in 2016.
